DevOps Academy - Innovative training program on sustainable DevOps for boosting inclusive career opportunities in the IT sector
DevOps Academy is a European project funded under Erasmus+ KA220-ADU, aiming to address the growing demand for digital and DevOps-related skills in the labor market. The project develops an inclusive, sustainable, and accessible training program tailored for adults, women, and underrepresented groups, supporting their entry into the IT sector through certified, high-quality education.
The training combines technical DevOps skills (e.g., cloud, CI/CD, automation) with soft skills (e.g., collaboration, problem-solving, adaptability), and promotes green and responsible digital practices.
Led by a consortium of six European partners, the project runs for 33 months and includes pilot testing in multiple countries.
Project Objectives
- Design a European DevOps training program focused on sustainability, inclusion, and adult employability.
- Promote access to IT careers for women, NEETs, and disadvantaged adults, through modular, multilingual and accessible learning paths.
- Ensure transferability and scalability of the training model across Europe, with a focus on continuous adult learning systems.
ECOLE’s Role
ECOLE acts as the project’s Quality Assurance leader and is responsible for ensuring the alignment of the training pathway with European standards such as EQF and eCF. Its contributions include:
- Supporting the development of the Sustainable DevOps Competence Framework;
- Co-creating the training content, integrating soft skills and sustainability principles;
- Contributing to competence certification and validation;
- Promoting the project through dissemination networks, including Confindustria and EVBB.
