ASC4INN – Alliance for Fostering Innovation in Education and Enterprises through the Digitization of Agricultural Supply Chains
ASC4INN is a European project (ERASMUS+ “ALLIANCE FOR INNOVATION”) lead by the Aristotele University of Thessaloniki that aims to strengthen the digital and green transformation of the agricultural supply chain by developing innovative training programmes and learning tools for both Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET). The project focuses on four deep-tech areas that are reshaping the agrifood ecosystem: Robotics and Drones, IoT and Blockchain-based Traceability, Big Data and Advanced Analytics, and Investment & Risk Management in New Technologies.
Objectives
Develop modern curricula for HE and VET addressing the skills needed in digital agriculture supply chains.
Create an ECVET profile for the new professional figure Digital Supply Chain Expert – Agriculture.
Design micro-credentials and micro-learning pathways to support flexible, modular training for students and adult learners.
Produce innovative learning materials and digital tools, including an interactive platform, a serious game, and AR-based virtual training scenarios.
Pilot intensive courses in four partner countries to validate the developed training modules.
Strengthen collaboration between education providers, technology experts and the agrifood industry.
Main Expected Results
- Two complete curricula (EQF 5 and EQF 6) aligned with labour market needs.
- An ECVET competence profile for the Digital Supply Chain Expert – Agriculture.
- Up to 8 micro-credentials enabling flexible upskilling and reskilling.
- A digital learning platform and a serious game supporting experiential learning.
- AR-based training scenarios demonstrating digital ASC integration.
- Four intensive pilot courses, reaching students across Europe.
- A transnational network fostering innovation and knowledge exchange in digital agriculture.
ECOLE’s role
ECOLE plays a central role in ASC4INN, contributing both to the design of innovative training frameworks and to the implementation of pilot learning activities across Europe.
As Co-Leader of Work Package 2, ECOLE supports the overall development of the new HE and VET curricula, the ECVET competence profile, and the methodological guidelines for course design. Within this WP, ECOLE has a key responsibility as Leader of Task 2.5, where it coordinates the design and development of the project’s micro-credentials and the micro-learning pathway. This includes structuring learning outcomes, defining workload and assessment methods, and ensuring coherence with European certification frameworks and labour market needs.
Beyond its leadership role, ECOLE contributes across all WP2 tasks by providing its expertise in vocational training, competence-based education, and industry-driven skills development, ensuring that the curricula remain aligned with the digital and sustainability challenges of the agrifood sector.
ECOLE also plays a prominent role in Work Package 5, acting as Co-Leader of the work package dedicated to piloting, validation, and evaluation of the newly developed courses.
